15 Self Care Tips for Quarantine
Quarantine is a strange and confusing time for all of us. Which is one of the reasons why it is so important to remember to take of yourself. Here are some self care tips to help you do just that!
1. Make a cup of tea or coffee
This is a great way to relax, letting the hot liquid warm you up on the chilly days of spring!
2. Light a candle
A great way to set a calming mood and allows your home to be filled with a beautiful fragrance.
3. Draw a bath
A bubble bath can be just what you need during these stressful times.
4. Read a new book or an old favorite
Reading (a great bath activity!) is super helpful to take your mind off the current world state.
Another great strategy for anxiety is to journal about, often you'll feel a lot better organizing the chaos of your thoughts onto paper.
6. Try a new recipe
This is a really fun way to spice up quarantine!
7. Cuddle your pet
If you have a pet, show them some love! They love getting to have you home all the time.
8. Do a face mask
Another wonderful spa activity to calm your nerves.
9. Open the windows or sit outside
Since we're stuck inside, it is extra important to breathe in some fresh air.
10. Go for a walk or jog
If you can, try to stay active! If you can't do this outside, try some home workouts, like yoga.
11. Learn a new hobby
Painting, knitting, and needle point are all great options, as are anything else you can come up with!
12. Find a home project DIY
There's always something in our homes that needs fixing or could use a spruce up, tackle that challenge during these weeks at home!
13. Change your sheets
There is nothing like the feeling of going to bed in new sheets, am I right?!
14. Organize something
Sit down and go through something you've been meaning to change, be it donating clothes from your wardrobe or sifting through the kitchen drawers.
15. Take a break
You don't always need to be doing something, it's good to take a few moments and just do absolutely nothing :)
